My Adventure with Misadventures!! Epic Fail!

So up to this point in my escapades I have been extremely successful, always exceeding my expectations of the journey (ok...so the first geocashe didn't go as planned, but I believe it's more fun looking for the treasure then basking in it's riches). I have approached every activity with a carefree attitude knowing that I will enjoy myself a learn a little along the way. The best part is sharing my account of the day's excursion with those who join me, or you the readers.

Today, was no different... I thought I set up a pretty good precursor, a coming attraction per say to what I has hoped to be today's adventure. My devious plan was put in motion by yesterday's pic of the sunset; and what better place to enjoy a beautiful one then Sunset Cliffs!! The day was exceptionally clear, and I was assured an EPIC (my inner San Diegan comes out) skyline. What I got was an EPIC FAIL!!! I didn't realize that the entire population of the western hemisphere now inhabits the space between Ocean Beach & Point Loma. As you can see I was about as close to the shoreline as El Centro, and to top it off I was traveling slower then the snail who appears on my doormat after a night of raining. Hmm... I wondered what I would do now???

Luckily I had an interesting back up plan... An exhibit in Balboa Park's Museum of Photography - Youth Reflections: Exploring Cultural Identity. Ok, so I had shaken off the unfortunate earlier event (or non-evernt), and was poised to see how 40 students from San Diego county could capture the concept of culture through the photographic medium. I reached my destination eager to take some photos of photos :) and actually try to tell myself I understood the deeper artistic meaning of each piece of art. Much to my surprise there wasn't an open door in all of Balboa Park! WTF! Again my delusions of grandeur were once again foiled! What now?

Balboa park is serene in the evening! Quite, Stunning Architecture, No Shortage of Art, and the sound of running water filling the streets. I got to visit the place of some of my fondest childhood memories, the Great Tree. It was like another grandfather who watched over me and played with me, of course these were in the days when you could actually sit underneath it! The pussification of America has taken that away from me, and all future generations. I say let Darwinism run its course! In the end, I got to take a nice stroll in a park that I seemed to own. Not bad for going 0 for 2 again.

(Also, the boys have been great lately, so I needed to return the favor so we walked after dinner. They sit real nice when your holding their leashes :)

- Cheers
