What a whirlwind of a Monday (but then again which Monday isn't). I woke up this morning at 6:30am and I find myself here at 10:45pm wondering exactly what happened and where I've been today. Ok enough of the bitch fest, I'm sure all of you readers had equally as hectic days.
If you are not aware of my working conditions they rival those of a Chinese sweat shop, with out the sweat. I work in a veritable icebox, filled with about 5 racks of servers which I sit exactly adjacent to, and little to no human contact. The fans project a lovely tune, a soothing hum all day that sounds like an amplified untuned radio (hopefully one can detect the increased level of sarcasm). Now that I have painted the picture of my work space, that I have affectionately named "The Dungeon", you will understand that I take every opportunity to get outside! So lets go Geocashing!!!
Today Mase, Carmel, and I were treasure hunters scouring the treacherous terrain of Friars Rd. and the Ocean Beach Bike path. Now it doesn't seem like the location would award some up and coming hunters much bounty, to tell you the truth we had better luck finding homeless hideouts!! But none the less we were determined to find great riches, and reap the benefits of our newly found wealth. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED!?!? We looked for over an hour, for two different cashe sites, and came up sorely, bitterly, and depressingly empty. The first was most obviously muggled, and the second is buried somewhere in the bank of the San Diego River. Even though we came back with our pockets turn inside out, we had a great walk, on a beautiful day, and as always great conversation and quality time with my little bro & sis. Thanks you guys, I love you!
As you can see we did make a friend on the way, so not a total loss :)
You may see a Part Deux, because I am irate, livid, and most of all eager to make up our 0 for 2 performance today. Til' next time
- Cheers
